Obituary For Jennie V. Gray Youmans

Fairfax, South Carolina

Ms. Jennie V. Gray Youmans, devoted daughter of the late Edna Bradley Gray and the late Robert Gray Sr., was born February 29, 1948. Reared as a Christian, she joined and was baptized at Miller Swamp Missionary Baptist Church, Fairfax, South Carolina.

Jennie received her education in the Allendale County Schools System (Fairfax Training School). She joined in holy matrimony to the late Lartee Youmans, and she was a devoted and dedicated wife.

On Monday, March 23, 2020, Jennie V. Gray Youmans was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears. As she enters her new life she will be greeted with love by; (4) sisters: Ida Gray, Florence Bennett, Arlean Davis, and Esther Wallace; along with (4) brothers: John Otis Gray, Robert Gray, Jr., James Gray, and Herman Gray.

Her memories will forever be cherished by her loving sisters: Evelyn (John) Grant Sr.; Fairfax, South Carolina, Mable Dopson; Aiken, South Carolina; Sister-in-Law: Louise Gray; East Orange, New Jersey; Loving and devoted niece, reared as her sister: Yvonne Wallace Cohen; Fairfax, South Carolina; Loving God Children who she loved and reared in her home: Teresa Ann Gray Owens; Winnsboro, South Carolina; Chaffee (Carla) Cohen, Sr.; Rochester, Michigan; Queva Cohen, Sr., Terry Cohen II; both of Columbia, South Carolina; Sherrod Davis; Aiken, South Carolina; Jarrid Davis; Manchester, Pennsylvania; John (Rosie) Grant, Jr.; Grand Prairie, Texas; Loving and devoted nieces: Bridgette Bacon; Fairfax, South Carolina; Earnestine Griffin; Beaufort, South Carolina; Grace Atkins; East Orange, New Jersey; Pastor Chris (Michael) Sivey; Bloomfield, New Jersey; Special and loving grandniece: Marvelena (Tim) Allen; Beaufort, South Carolina; Loving Nephew: Reverend Leonard (Joyce) Ritter, Sr.; Allendale, South Carolina. A host of grand and great grand nieces and nephews, devoted cousins, and loving friends.

Grave side services will be held Saturday, March 28,2020; 1:00 P.M.; at Miller Swamp Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairfax, SC; Reverend Leonard Ritter, Sr.; Officiating.

Calling Hours will held Friday, March 27, 2020; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., at M.F. Riley's Memorial Chapel, Fairfax, South Carolina.
