Obituary For Dorothy Cobb McKenzie

Dorothy Cobb McKenzie was born on November 9, 1948 in Oakfield, Georgia to the late Pinkie Mae Washington and Willie Lee Cobb. Dorothy matriculated through the public school system and ultimately graduated from Jones High School in 1967.

Dorothy was truly loved by her family and all that knew her. She really loved singing, traveling, fishing, and enjoying her family. Family was everything to her. For 12 years, she worked as a driver for LFI, Inc.

On March 20, 2020, Dorothy answered the call of Lord bidding her to come home and receive her just reward which is Eternal life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Pinkie Cobb; sisters, Catherine Cobb Canady, Juanita Cobb Carlyle; brothers, Clyde Cobb and Eddie Cobb; and grandson, Jeran Thomas.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Jerome McKenzie; children, June(Ulysses)Briggs of Orlando, FL, Tia Boldes of Gifford, FL, Catherine(Stanford)Miller of Vero Beach, FL, and Archelaus Boldes of Gifford, FL; step-children, Diane Richardson of Orlando, FL, Robert(Chantal)Stevenson of Atlanta, GA, Nancy Stevenson of Kissimmee, FL, Jessie(LaKeisha)Stevenson of New York, NY; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, James Cobb of Vero Beach, FL, Johnny(Jackie)Cobb of Eau Galle, FL, Tony(Susan)Cobb of Charlotte, NC, Helen Roberts of Albany, GA, and Trina(Jeff)Perkins of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Dorothy Cobb McKenzie will take place on Friday, March 27, 2020 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Gifford Cemetery in Gifford, FL.
