Obituary For Susie White

Susie Germaine White was born on September 21, 1952 to the late Hazel M. White in Fort Pierce, FL. Susie quickly developed a love for reading and writing even though she was teased because of this love. She didn’t let this stop her. Growing up and being reared through the public schools of Saint Lucie County, she ultimately graduated from Lincoln Park Academy with the Class of 1970. In 1977, she received a Certificate of Completion in Practical Nursing from Indian River Community College. Later in 1986, she obtained a Certificate of Completion in Phlebotomy from IRCC. She then acquired her Associate in Arts Degree in Journalism from IRCC in 1991. Susie didn’t stop there, she gained another Certificate of Completion in IV in 1992. She graduated again in 1993 from IRCC with an Associate in Arts Degree in Nursing(RN Program). She completed her educational journey in 2001 at Bethune Cookman College in the Undergraduate Program(RN to BSN track).

She worked with Aunt Margerite in the kitchen at Eastern Manner (she said, “This is not fame.”) She tried to be a flight attendant (“I didn’t make the cut,” she said) assuming they wanted a certain look. She later met Freddie Wilson, Sr. of which she gave birth to Crystal Wilson and Freddie Wilson, Jr.

She was devoted to helping others. That was her passion. She loved nursing. She loved her family, kids, grand kids, and great-grand kids. She spent the last 34 years with William Winn of whom she cared for and loved deeply. Her life goal as to see her one and only son, Freddie Wilson, Jr., free.

On March 15, 2020, she died believing deeply as the Queen of her family, that her only daughter will carry out her love for her family. She preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Mae White; father, Lewis Rice; and grandmother, Susie Davis White.
