Obituary For Margaret Booe Robertson

Margaret Robertson, 95, died March 24, 2020. Private service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC. A Public Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. August 12, 2020 at Rising Star Baptist Church, Walnut Cove, NC.

Margaret Booe Robertson was born August 12, 1924 to the late Edward Booe and Ivy Scott Booe in Stokes County. She departed this life to eternal rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Novant Health, Kernersville, NC. She received her early education in the Stokes County School and later attended Atkins High School in Winston Salem, NC and was one of the last mid-term graduates in January, 1943. She joined Rising Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Kilgore. She worked in various capacities of the church: secretary & treasurer of the Sunday School, teacher of the Junior class, vice president of the Women’s Missionary, member of the Deaconess board and president & secretary of the Senior Choir. She was married to William Finley Robertson, who preceded her in death in January 5, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Booe, March 17, 2006, daughter, Gencie McRae, June 24, 2018, brother-in law, Robert Hall, nephew, Phillip Booe. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters; Brenda Mullen of Brooklyn, NY, Wanda Hairston of Walnut Cove, NC, sons; William Robertson of Walnut Cove, NC and Tyrone Robertson of Brooklyn NY, a devoted niece; Diane Hall, sisters-in-law, Jackie Booe, Diane Booe and Betty K. Booe, son-in-law, Vincent McRae, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I thank God I got to have my Aunt Margaret in my life. After my Mom passed all my calls to my Mom went to my Aunt and as always my last call on Monday ended with I love you. Rest in Paradise with your family Auntie. We will miss you Love Di, Shannon, Kim,Jazmin,Kiane and Justin.
