Obituary For Mr. Robert Glenn Fulmore, Jr.

Robert Glenn Fulmore Jr., also affectionately known as Glenn, was born on July 20, 1961 to the late Robert Glenn Fulmore Sr. and Fannie Graham Fulmore in Lake City, South Carolina. He was the only son of five children. ~ A Time To Die ~ Glenn departed from this earthly life to be present with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital in Florida. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Fannie Mae Nelson. ~ A Time To Learn and Work ~ Glenn attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated from Lake City High School in the Class of 1978. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of seventeen! He served under the 363rd Security Police at Shaw Air Force Base and made long lasting friendships and connections throughout the years. He served in multiple war conflicts like Desert Storm. After twenty-two years of faithful service, he retired under the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt). He worked fourteen plus years at IAP Worldwide Services Inc. located in Cape Canaveral, Florida as a Senior Facility/Program Security Officer.

~ A Time to Love ~

Glenn married Wanda Bernita Wilder on April 11, 1981 and to this union three awesome children were born. He was a devoted husband and provided for his family. They made their home in Columbia, South Carolina. ~ A Time To Enjoy Life and Serve ~ Glenn joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lake City, South Carolina at an early age. He served as an usher in his youth and as the Chairperson of the Youth Ministry. Glenn loved sports whether he was playing baseball in high school or softball with the Deep River Rattlers. He continued his love for softball by becoming a little league coach and referee. His loved for sports, coaching, and mentorship allowed him to affect numerous lives through basketball, softball, kickball and football. Talk about a firecracker for someone calling the game! His involvement with sports impacted the lives of all ages in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. ~ A Time To Laugh ~ Glenn could make an entrance, steal the show, or take over the show! There wasn’t a person he couldn’t get out of their own shell. Nicknames were his thing! His children, friends, teammates, coworkers, sisters, and strangers could end up with a nickname. If the batter hit a pop fly; you would hear, “Popcorn!” yelled out. In basketball, you would hear about the “apple turnovers” when that rock got stolen. If he was running the bases in softball, you would hear about his dogs barking. He loved to laugh and help others. His laughter was infectious and his spirit was a bright flare of light that if you weren’t ready to be in his presence . . . . .have mercy! ~ A Time To Be Remembered ~ He leaves the following to cherish fond memories: a loving wife of thirty-nine years: Wanda Bernita Fulmore; his three awesome children: Robyn Michelle Fulmore Moses of Columbia, SC, Maryland; Robert Glenn Fulmore, III (Tiara) of Bryan College Station, Texas, and Jocelyn Verdell Fulmore Ramirez (Anthony) of Hopkins, South Carolina; his devoted mother, Fannie G. Fulmore; his mother-in-law, Rosa Wilder; three extraordinary sisters: Dr. Evelyn Fulmore, Rozenna Ford (Leon) and Jeri Lynette Peterson; six grandchildren whom he cherished: Brandon Glenn Moses, Derek Antonio Moses, Amiya Michelle Ramirez, George Anthony Ramirez; Jr., Haley Danielle Martin, and Riley Nicole Fulmore and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends, across multiple states, that he loved dearly. And after all is said and done, he can rest easy with his own words. . . .“Very Good.”
