Obituary For Mr. Rondell Carmichael

Rondell Carmichael was born on February 16, 1952 in Dillon County, South Carolina to the late Wilbert and Fannie Carmichael. After a hard fought battle the past two years, he departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina.

Rondell was a graduate from Lake View High School. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he made the rank of Corporal and served as a Infantry man for four years at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Okinawa, Japan.

At an early age Rondell became a member of New Bethel Presbyterian Church, Dillon, South Carolina. He later in life joined Fork Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Lake View, South Carolina where he served as a member of the Mass Choir, Male Chorus, Gospel Choir, and Sunday School Superintendent.

Rondell worked in construction and brick masonry for North American Construction Company for many years, before retiring to work part-time. After retirement, Rondell enjoyed his days fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbert and Fannie Carmichael; his brothers: Larry Carmichael and Eddie Carmichael; his sisters: Wilhelmena Carmichael and Alberteen Roberts.

Rondell leaves to cherish many memories ~ three children: Vickey (James) McClellan of Dillon, SC, Cron Carmichael of Seattle, WA, Javis (Korriell) Carmichael of Hope Mills, NC; brothers: Harold Carmichael of Dillon, SC, Kenneth (Emmie) Carmichael of Germany, Richard Johnson of Mullins, SC; sisters: Gloria Carmichael of High Point, NC, Thelma (Donald) Bethea of Dillon, SC; grandchildren: Camian Ford and Tnya Williams both of Dillon, SC; special nieces: Vicky Godbolt of Dillon, SC and Ann Grant of Lumberton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sending my condolences to you all. Sorry to read about Rondell we go way back when we was younger. He was a funny guy always had something to say to make you laugh. He will be missed by you all and those whom he met alone the way. May the God of tender mercies give you all the strength you need to endure today and always.
