I have a lifetime of memories of the one I called Aunt Nancy. I called her every weekend for almost 20 years as we talked, and we laughed. She loved the car I'm currently driving because I would open the sunroof and off we went. I would take her to church or just go for a drive with the wind blowing our hair, and we laughed at our slogan "red hair rolling". We played cards with Aunt Marie and Uncle Walter for hours. I came to Virginia the first weekend in July as far back as I can remember for the Hayes family reunion at the Mecklenburg Coop. I would make an extra plate to bring to her because she told me she didn't care too much for the meals on wheels dinner. I am so blessed that God shared her with me. She always asked me how I was doing and as she put it "those pretty girls of yours". I FaceTimed her with my daughters so she could laugh with them too. Our birthdays are only 5 days apart. I had to call her when I returned home in Philadelphia, and she would reply "Thank God". As I water the plants she gave me, I will reflect on all the good memories and the fun times we had. I think the funniest moment is when she didn't recognize my car in the driveway and called the police on me because my radio was up so loud I didn't hear her call out. Aunt Nancy has a special place in my heart, and I will love her forever Connie Boswell
