Obituary For Mr. James Elliott Spratt

Mr. James Elliott Spratt, age 71, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Atrium Health in Pineville, SC.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 1st from 1pm until 8pm at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 870 Saluda Street, Rock Hill SC 29730.

A memorial will be held at a later date.

Born in Fort Mill, James was the husband of the late Gertrude Spratt and son of the late Elliott and Sallie Mae Spratt. He graduated from George Fish and was a retired Army veteran. Mr. James Spratt enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren creating wonderful memories. James was a member of the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church in Fort Mill, where he served as an Usher and Trustee. He was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

James is survived by his son, Elliott Spratt, III of Greensboro, NC; three amazing grandchildren, Hailey, Connor and Madison; three sisters, Brenda Greene, Rebecca Culp (husband, Bishop Carlwell Culp), Pamela Lowery (husband Albert Lowery); two brothers Michael Spratt (wife, Carolyn Spratt) and Richard Spratt (wife, Shirley Spratt). He was preceded in death by his son Steve Spratt and two brothers, Ronnie Spratt and Mack Spratt.

He will be remembered fondly by many caring cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.

James El my classmates from GFHSCHOOL in 1955 through 1965 we never stop fellowshiping when we had the opportunity, i truly will miss him,we had some great talks sitting on his porch, but what really made me happy was seeing his Church attendance and helping others Harvey L Adams * 1967 Graduate
