Obituary For Rev. Willie Lee Evans, Jr.

REV. WILLIE LEE EVANS, JR. – AGE 86, - Of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Oakview Health Care. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, retired from Mohawk Industries, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee Evans, Sr. and Zula R. Sturdivant Evans; one sister, Ida Knox; two brothers, Harold Evans, and Louie Evans.

Survivors are his daughter, MaDonna Bolling; two grandsons, Ray Bolling of Summerville, Georgia, Antonio Bolling of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Wanda Jackson of Decatur, Georgia; brother, Roy (Barbara) Evans of Marietta, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Peggy Evans of Summerville; aunt, Minister Julia Mae Evans of Kingston, Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to the Affinis Hospice of Cartersville and the staff and nurses of Oakview Health Care.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, there will be a graveside service and interment for Rev. Willie Lee Evans, Jr. on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Summerville Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Roach officiating. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
