I am just learning that Ms. Watkins passed. I met her years ago and was taken under her wing with love but strong guidance! I had known her daughter Bridgette long before I met her, so the eventual revelation was a great one. Bridgette, I know you loved your mom dearly and will surely miss her, but know she is still watching over you...every step! LOL You are in my thoughts and prayers for much comfort and strength but have your precious memories to keep you strong. She raised a strong proud Black woman. My sincerest sympathy and love, Stephonia Owolabi

I was so saddened and misty eyed I forgot to write the message was from me... Mrs. Springer in Activities. Stop laughing at me Flo T lol. I can see you now with your bright big smile just laughing at me saying well if you would sit down for a minute you wouldn't have forgot. Lol. I love you girl my heart is hurting I swear!

I am still in disbelief. Everytime I go to write I am lost for words. Flo T I am definitely going to miss you. I'm going to miss seeing your smile in the morning, hearing your smart and witty come backs when I'm doing your nails or other group activities, you shocking people and laughing at them when they realized you done rolled yourself from one end of the room to the the other. I am definitely going to miss you telling people as you shake your fist saying what goes up must come down. My kids are going to miss you when they come to the job and realize you are not there. The picture your daughter put up for you is nothing but amazing. You look so beautiful! As I write I cry... this can't be real! You raised a strong, brave, beautiful and intelligent daughter so you can rest easy knowing that she will be ok. You will definitely be missed and always remembered. I will continue to cherish the memories you shared with me! I cant even see to keep writing. Dear God you definitely got a good one. S.I.P Ms. Watkins aka Flo T.

The MacDonald family, Flo's roommate Irma, sends their deepest condolences. She loved seeing her each day and night and even though they didn't communicate in a typical fashion, my mother welcomed seeing her each and every day. She often looked out for her and would call nurses, if Flo was coughing in the night or if my mother felt there was something amiss with her. Irma was and is heartbroken as she continues to battle Covid-19, having tested positive. They moved her out of the room. Our family will miss Flo and seeing her daughter take such remarkable care of her, always visiting and helping, and being there for her mother. We send all our love. Tom and Kay

Growing up under Mrs. Flo, I remember how strong and formidable of a woman she was. She had her own mind and you were not going to change it. She could intimidate the best of them, and would lay someone out in a minute, with a sense of humor! More importantly, she loved her daughter so much, wanted the best for her, and saw that she had it. Her involvement with church, the Eastern Stars and other organizations represented her traditional role as a family, church and community woman. Rest in Peace Mrs. Flo. You gave your best to this life indeed. - Dr. Colita Nichols Fairfax
