The late Mr. John Effinger Jackson of 301 E. King Street, Sylvester, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. At the request of the family, the remains have been cremated.

John was a joy to work with at Lucent, and my husband and I had many laughter-filled lunches with him. John Jackson was a great big ray of sunshine with a smile a mile wide. The world was a better place because John Jackson was in it. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Barbara Morey

John lifted the heart of anyone near him whether they needed it or not. He was truly a gifted, force of nature, that cannot be replaced. What he leaves is a loving family, many loving friends and lots of aquaintances that know his unique, powerfully uplifting, love inspiring personality shone like a lighthouse for all to see.
