Annie Mae Britton

Annie Mae Hodge Britton passed away at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 85. She was born in Williamson County, Tennessee to the parents of the late William Hodge and Georganna Shaw Hodge. Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her daughters, Linda and Martha Ann Britton, grandson, Derrick Britton, brothers, Ridley Hodge, Sr., William Hodge, Zack Hodge, Robert Hodge, Preston Hodge, Almiria Hodge, Charles Hodge and Alex Hodge; sisters, Susie Mai Caldwell, Ella Hodge and Frances Louise Hodge.

Mrs. Britton accept Christ under the leadership of Elder Walter Rodgers at West Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health began to decline. She served faithfully for 38 plus years on the senior usher board at West Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church and became "Usher Emeritus". She enjoyed working with her junior usher as being in they're meeting and making sure they're on they're post they loved her an she loved them. Annie served as a member of "Cumberland Association Usher Congress" for many, many years where she was a faithful doorkeeper.

Annie loved and enjoyed ushering, cooking, Friday morning bible study visiting family and friends, talking on the phone and working her puzzle books. She loved when her grandchildren, great grand children and her "Baby Paris and Payge" came to visit her for the weekend. "Everybody Love Them Some Nanny".

Those left behind to cherish her many memories; her loving daughters, Rena Britton, Henrietta Britton and Mary Britton; her loving sons, Robert Hodge, Ernest Britton Jr. and James Britton; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchldren; sister, Dillie Hodge; sisters-in-law, Patricia Hodge and Nora Hodge; brother-in-law, Jessie Britton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, West Harpeth Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church family and many friends.

There will be no public viewing or funeral for Mrs. Britton due to the COVID-19 Virus.

Private Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Britton at a later date.
