Terry L. Nesby, Sr. was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on July 30, 1954 to Jack and Carrie Covington Nesby. He was a 1973 graduate of Blytheville High School. Terry served his country in the United States Air Force and worked for the postal service. Terry passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Center in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronnie Nesby, Richard Nesby and Jack Nesby, Jr.; sisters, Georgia Young, Lula Sherrell, Ivory Jean Hardnick, and Florine Bates. Terry leaves to cherish his memory six sons, Terry L. Nesby, Jr. of Grand Prairie, Texas; Lamont (Chiquita) Nesby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Terrian Nesby of Blytheville, Arkansas; Travis (Amara) Nesby, Tyrell Jenkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Corey Golliday of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Shemika Nesby-Wilson of Blytheville, Arkansas; and Shanta Swift of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Lillian Anderson of Chicago, Illinois, Arie Hoy of Blytheville, Arkansas and Linda Nesby-Walker of Michigan City, Indiana; a special nephew who was more like a brother, Mack Bates of Brown Deer, Wisconsin; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be announced by McDonald-Horne Funeral Home and the Nesby family at a future date.
