A private service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2020. There will be no public viewing.
Ms. Knox was born September 8, 1952 in Norfolk, VA. She was a graduate of Union Kempsville high school, attended Columbus Technical College and Mable Bailey Fashion Design School, was a Civil service worker at Ft. Benning ,the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and was a member of Solid Rock Church of Atlanta.
Survivors include four children, Tonya Lockhart (Milton) of Atlanta, GA, Tamika Felton Pipkins (Sanford) and Jackie Dowell both of Columbus, GA and Tia Dowell of Duluth, GA; seven grandchildren, Byron T. Lucien, Jasmine Creekmore, Ameer Devold, Zaakir Devold, Ariel Devold, Jamil Dowell and Mequell Jordan; three great grandchildren, Jamisha Lucien, Javaris Lucien and Jakiah Lucien; three brothers, Rudolph Mackey, Jr. (Kim), Rayphield Knox and Frankie Smith; three sisters, Albertina Wiggins (John), Diane Banks and Carol Uzzle; closest friends, Laquita Green and Georgia Bigelow and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
