Susan McCoy Coleman, 54, of Atlanta went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2020 , where she was reunited with her parents Heyward & Mamie Lou McCoy and her brother Timothy McCoy. She was a native of Savannah, Georgia and graduated from Beach High School in 1984. She attended South University where she studied nursing. She was employed as a patient monitor technician at Piedmont Hospital for 15 years and she was an active member of Deeper Life in Christ Church. Susan was always ready to minister to others by showing compassion and a willingness to help. She could always be counted on when you needed support. She took great joy in giving to others and would put an abundance of time and effort into finding the perfect gift for a loved one. Susan was from a large family, yet she provided incredible support and love to each and every family member and treasured every moment she spent with them. She was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that she adored and took care of as if they were her own. She also considered her cherished friends Evon Roberts, Deborah Williams, and Theresa Osgood to be part of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Heyward and Mamie Lou Crawford McCoy and her brother Timothy McCoy. She is survived by her brothers Terry (Ruby) McCoy, Herman “Gabbie” (Beverly) Dempsey, Rodney Dempsey, and Tommie Lee Crawford and her sisters Donna (Randy) Conyers, Brenda (Joseph) Mobley, Arlene Hall, Beatrice (Bobby) Douglas, Shirley (Wayman) Sparrow, and Carolyn (Cottrell) Riggins.
