James (Coach) Quarles, Jr.

Augusta, Georgia—James (Coach) Quarles, Jr. entered into rest Monday, April 20, 2020.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Reverend Dr. Clarence Moore, eulogist. Social distancing will be observed.

Public visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. (ONLY) at the mortuary.

Coach Q, I was a co-worker at GHHS in the 90s till "06, He always had a kind word to say to me. I will remember the Christmas party off Washington Road where i met your lovely wife. I remember "Junior" as a child when both he and his brother, Donald, would come to my grandfather's little grocery store (Way's Grocery) in Columbia, SC. Always was great running him from time to time. A very good soul gone way too soon. Rest easy, "Junior"! May God bless the Quarles family.
