Obituary For Clarence Walker, Sr.

Mr. Clarence Morgan Walker, Sr.

Williston, SC - Graveside Service for Mr. Clarence Morgan Walker, Sr. will be conducted on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Dr. Joe F. Singleton officiating. Burial will have military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 23, 2020 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM at Simmons Funeral Home of Williston, Inc.

Clarence Morgan Walker, Sr. was born in Elko, South Carolina to the late Deacon Hampton L. Walker and late Elise Morgan Walker. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. At an early age he joined Ebenezer Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until his death. Clarence attended Kelly Edwards High School and graduated in the class of 1965. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966. He served two years and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military service was completed, he worked for what is now known as Dixie Narco for 39 years and finished his career there as a Receiving Supervisor.

In September of 1971, Clarence was united in holy wedlock to Lucy Hall of Dunbarton, SC. They moved into their marital home in 1972 and resided there until his death.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Eddie Walker; and one sister, Dorothy Walker.

Those left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life are his wife, Lucy Walker of the home; his children, Sharon Walker of Williston, SC, Denise (Erick) Powell of Woodbine, GA, Derek (Maria) Saxon, Aiken, SC, Debra (Ariel) Bush, New Ellenton, SC, Clarence Walker, Jr. of Aiken, SC, Cedric Walker of Williston, SC, Cassandra (Charles) Holmes, of Atlanta, GA and Joshua Walker, of Los Angeles, CA ., his siblings: Lue Ester Douglas, Elaine Cheston and Lenson Walker of Williston,SC, Elois Toler of Charlotte, NC, Mary Ann (Levaughn) Jenkins of Powder Springs, GA, James Walker of Anderson, In, and Hampton Walker, Jr. of Cleveland, Oh. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
