OPELOUSAS – Private viewing service for the IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Ellis Wilson, 59, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Pastor Norlan Arvie will officiate the services.

Mr. Wilson leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Leona Wilson of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Terrel Edwards (Tammy) and Ellis D. Wilson, both of Houston, TX and Eriq Wilson, Sr. (Sharana) of Opelousas, LA; nine daughters, Ferlonda Thomas (Elton) of Beaumont, TX, Sharon Edwards of Opelousas, LA, Cindy Edwards (Tony) of Ville Platte, LA, Shonta Jack (Wilfred) of Beaumont, TX, Erika Wilson (Paul) of Opelousas, LA, Shonquella Wilston (Darrell) of Houma, LA, Kayla Miller (Anthony) of Kileen, TX, Patrice Wilson (Todd) of Opelousas, LA and Catrice Wilson of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Elvis Wilson (Shirley) of Beaumont, TX, Fredrick Wilson of Ville Platte, LA and Leonard Wilson, Jr. (Sue Zanne) of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Lou Jean Wilson of Ville Platte, LA and Lora Durgin (Clarence) of Beaumont, TX; thirty-three grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Leonard and Edna Edwards Wilson, Sr.; one sister, Lou Anna Wilson; and one grandchild, Nikita Adams.
