Mrs. Mattie Hoy, 79, of Blytheville passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Irving, Texas. She was born April 17, 1941 in Joiner, Arkansas and was the daughter of Clarence and Willie Stevens Fair. Mrs. Hoy was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a faithful and dutiful member of Southside Church of Church. Mrs. Hoy was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Hoy. She leaves to forever cherish her memory three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy (Danny) Manning of Blytheville, Arkansas; Ms. LeKesha Hoy of Memphis, Tennessee, and Ms. Natasha Hoy of Irving, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Fair and Mrs. Lula Burton both of Blytheville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Derek Manning of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Danielle Manning of Irving, Texas; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Arie Hoy of Blytheville, Arkansas. Many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A private Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 1:00 at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home. Brother Jesse Webb will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery. In compliance with the CDC, the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association and the Governor, only immediate family members are permitted to attend funeral services. We will be observing this order.
