Obituary For Lillian McArthur

Deaconess Lillian McArthur age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 5, 2020, at Consulate Health Care in Safety Harbor Florida. She was born June 23, 1926. She was the daughter of Rev. James and Jessie Butler. Deaconess McArthiur graduated from Pinellas High School and was self-employed as a housekeeper. Lillian lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, snacking and spending time with her granddaughters and nieces. Lillian had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. Her spiritual guidance and knowledge helped many people connect with faith in God. She was a faithful member of St. James AME Church, Clearwater Florida where she served on various boards, Deaconess, Stewardess, Lay Organization, Women’s Missionary Society, Young People Department, HAAC Committee (Working with HIV) to name a few. She will be greatly missed ,her wisdom and humor kept everyone around her in amazement how she could give advice and say it in a joking manner to make sense. She leaves to cherish her memories Ronald Butler, son, Dr. Karen J Beard, neice, Donnie Butler, nephew, Bonnie Roseway, neice, granddaughters Dionne Hicks, Lawanda Griffin (James), LaMonica Vinson (Ramon), Gerosalyn Lee, Brittany Hicks, Nicole Butler, and Melanie Butler; Grandsons Cory Butler, Rickey Hicks (Dinma) and Todd Hutchinson and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, great great grandchildren and family members.
