Guest Book

To my friend Shawn. God took you way too early. You had such a gentle soul and was a gentle giant. I remember working out with you a couple of times at the gym, not to mention the years I knew you and Ongela at the railroad. No words can express the void you left when you GOD called you to heaven. Rest easy big guy, and know you will never be forgotten. I'll never forget that infectious laugh you had and I never saw you in nothing but a good mood, always smiling and laughing. I'll never forget our our little inside joke that only you and I shared. You were definitely one of the great one. I pray that the Lord will look after your family and kids for the rest of their lives. I'll miss the heck out of you my brother. Your forever friend, David Futch

John, Jill, and the family... You all are in our prayers for God to strengthen you and comfort you during this difficult time. Please know that God loves you and He loves Shawn even more. I watched him grow up in the neighborhood many years ago as he played basketball in my yard with my son. He was always polite and had good manners. Shawn was a good child as were his siblings due to being brought up in a God fearing home by his parents John and Jill. May God be with you always. Juan and Linda Washington (neighbors) and the Powell children..Kevin, Tasha and Tami.

I was lucky enough to work with Shawn and got a chance to see what a great, gentle giant he was. I have a lot of great memories to cling to. We started together at CSX and we were the last of our class. I remember when he started, we had to get him up to 35wpm. His fingers were too big for the keyboard. We laughed as he pecked away. Always smiling! The class use to go to a BBQ place on Cassett Ave., and people would ask him for his autograph, even though he told them, no I'm not a Jacksonville Jaguar or Kevin Hardy. We had fun with that one. Those are just a few good memories I have. Praying for your family, may God give your family strength and courage. You will be missed Shawn! Linda Riffey-Miraflor
