Obituary For Addie Calhoun Henson Jones

Mrs. Addie Calhoun Henson Jones, departed this life Saturday, April 25, 2020. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Salter Grove Baptist Church, Bartow, GA. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA Mrs. Jones was born in Jefferson County Georgia to the parentage of Willie and Ruth Heggs Calhoun. She lived in New York for several years before returning to Bartow in 1995. She reunited with the Christian family at Salter Grove Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess and served as church treasurer until her health failed. Her husband, Deacon Jonathan Jones, Sr. preceded her in death on October 28, 2019 after twenty-six years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Antonio (Toni) Henson, Norcross, GA, Sonya Smith and Tawana (Allen) Jackson, Martinez, GA; step children, Jonathan Jones, Jr, and Jennifer Jones, Martinez, GA; her siblings, Susan Dowdell, Jacksonville, FL, Gladys Hill, Anna Calhoun, Melvin Brookins, Edward (Jackie) Brookins, Bartow, GA., Willie Brookins, Louisville, GA; grandchildren, Allen Jackson, Jr., Alaiya Henson, John Henson, Ashley Smith, Elijah Smith, Stephon Smith, Camaran Henson, Micah Henson, Kobi Henson and William Henson; step grandchildren, Latavia Jones, Jaylan Jones, Jonathan Jones, Faith Wesbey; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Will (Shirley) Palmer, VA and Ruby (Walter) Harkley, Bartow, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Addie Lee Calhoun Henson Jones.
