Obituary For Sharon Lawson

SHARON ALLEN LAWSON was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to her proud parents, the late Elijah Clark and the late Mildred Allen. She grew up as an only child with her mother and grandmother.

Sharon was a longtime devoted member of The First Baptist Church of Steelton, where she served with the Flower Club, Missionary Ministry and the Church Choir. During her working career, she was an employee of the former Moore’s Prompt Cleaning from where she retired with over 35 years of customer service. She also was a part-time employee with Andreas Beauty Works as a receptionist. Sharon started Modeling after her retirement and was well known for her extensive church hat collection and matching suits.

On Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the West Shore UPMC Hospital in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Sharon Allen Lawson at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 9 days, went to be with the Lord and joined her grandparents, Mosely Hitchcock Allen and Charles Allen; her uncle, Charles Allen, Jr.; her parents and her granddaughter, Devina Jasmine Warren. She leaves to mourn, celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories of her; her husband, Roosevelt Lawson, Jr.; her sons, Roosevelt Lawson III, Ronald E. Lawson, Keith E. Lawson, John D. Lawson (Gloria Wooten-Lawson); her daughter, Dr. Sherriann Lawson-Clark (Penn Clark); her sister, Sandy Clark; her brother, Stanley Clark; her eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a host of other relatives, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.
