MR. RICKY LEWIS ALLEN departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He was born September 9, 1960 in South Hill, Virginia to the late Thomas Lewis and Annie Pearl Davis Allen. He was the oldest of their three sons. He was also preceded in death by his brother- Andrew (Leon) Allen and a niece- Shameka Martin. He was always very responsible and protective of his family.

He attended George Wythe High School in Richmond, VA. After graduating in 1978, he worked at Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper Company and was a Shop Steward.

In 1987 Rick moved to New York City. He joined Union Baptist Church, sung with the Men’s Choir and served on the Usher Board for many years. He loved the Lord.

He accepted employment with Consolidated Edison as a Field Representative for over twenty-nine years.

Rick leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his wife, Lisa Brewington Allen; three sons- Ricardo Horne, Shaundel Hawkins, and Rico Allen; daughter- Remy Allen; two grand-daughters, Rinysia and Faith; one brother- Chris Allen; one sister- Darshelle Fleming; also mourning are Pamela Hawkins Allen; best friends- Ken McAllister, William (Pee Wee) Taylor, long-time co-workers and friends from Con Edison, as well as friends and co-workers from Richmond, VA.
