Melissa Denise Fonville, 38, of 525 Staten Rd. Rocky Run Community died Friday, May 31, 2013 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.She was a graduate of Glenhill High School, Augusta, Georgia. was formerly employed at WalMart of New Bern and was a member of Tabernacle M. B. Church. She always had a smile throughout her Sickle Cell Anemia Crisis.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at St. James AME Zion Church 500 Rocky Run Rd. with the Rev. Antonio G. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.She is survived by her mother, Frances Keyes Fonville of the home and father, Richard Fonville, Jr. of New Bern; two brothers, Quentin P. Fonville of San Antonio, TX and Ezra J. Fonville of Ft. Meade, MD; maternal grandmother, Mittie Richardson Bell of New Bern. The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours are Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary, Inc.
