Obituary For Mrs. Ethel Elaine Annis-Jackson

Elaine Annis Jackson, 73, of Bascom, Florida passed away suddenly at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on April 30, 2020. Elaine grew up in Bascom among a large family of siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduation from Bay County High School in 1963, she attended Montreat Anderson College in Montreat, North Carolina on a scholarship.

She was born to Isadore N. Annis and Muriel Boone Annis in Donalsonville, Georgia on August 6, 1946. She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Dawn Haney and an aunt she loved as a mother, Louise Boone.

She is survived by her sister, Dietra A. Callaway-Helton of Bascom, Florida; brother, Daniel Annis, Sr. (Gay) of Winter Garden, Florida; cousins loved as brother and sisters, John Sotiriou, Mary Ellen Sotiriou Gilbert and June Mitchell Mays; nephews, Fred Callaway and Daniel Annis, Jr.; niece, Anita Callaway-Helton; great nieces, great nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later day with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
