Rod Morrow

Rod “Papa Rod” Morrow, 75, passed away on September 4, 2015, at his home in Elephant Butte, New Mexico.

Rod was a resident of Elephant Butte for the past 20 years coming from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on June 26, 1940 to Finis and Jewel (Caster) Morrow. Rod was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1958 to 1964. He was self-employed as a Pawn Broker and an Automobile Salesman. Rod enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle; playing golf and bowling with his grandsons, and was a great fan watching the HSHS Tigers play. He also enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and the Dallas Cowboys. He leaves behind, his wife, of thirteen years, Bert, his children – Mica (Garth) Sleater; Rick (Debbie) Morrow; Ronnie (Jennie) Cline; Jenny (Eric) Armijo; by his grandchildren – Chris (Rachel); Justin, Harlee, Hunter, Grady, Kevin, Jayden, Ashlyn and Donton; by his sisters, Marlene (Ralph) Cochrane; Donna (Robert) Covey; and brother, Randy (Lanni) Morrow along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Finis and Jewel Morrow; his brothers, Gary and Richard and Biker Buddies, Ken Cates and Casey Brown and by his first wife, April.
