Obituary For Loretha Denise Jackson

Loretha Jackson Yon was born on March 7, 1985 to Patricia Ross and Larry Yon in Fort Pierce, FL. Going through the public schools of St. Lucie County, Loretha attended and graduated from Lincoln Park Academy with her High School Diploma in May of 2003. While in high school, she was a member of the Delteens Youth Group sponsored by the Fort Pierce Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In her adult life, Loretha became employed with St. Lucie Public Schools as a Bus Aide. Loretha enjoyed spending time with her family and friends through barbeques and other family gatherings.

On April 28, 2020, Loretha heard the call of the Lord bidding her to come and rest and she peacefully departed this life. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer Jackson and her grandfather, Lovett Ross.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Tameia Cox, T’Flun Cox, Antonio McCall, Jr.; sisters, Leontyne Jackson, Lora Jackson-Yon, Shaquanna Yon-Pullen; parents, Patricia Ross and Larry Yon; grandmother, Eloise Damon; aunts, Carolyn Ross, Earline Watson, Maria Watson, Lois Ware; great-aunt, Eliese Williams; uncle, Lovett(Patricia)Ross; nieces, Jakia Jackson, Laila Hair, La’Zaiah Jackson, Syniyah Pinder; nephews, McArthor Pullen, Jr., Clifford Roberts, Isaiah Young, Cornelius Ross, and other family members who include Shirley Yon-Witfield, Ronny Yon, and sorrowinf friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Loretha Jackson will take place on Friday, May 8, 2020 by way of our drive-thru in the rear of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 3:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Fort Pierce, FL.

Although, many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 ft. social distancing guidelines, as well.
