Obituary For Nona Mae Parris Hines

Nona Mae Parris Hines, 64, of Edgemoor SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 1st 2020. The family will receive friends, family, and visitors at 630 Powell Street Rock Hill SC on Sunday, May 10th 2020 from 2pm-4pm for a celebration of life. Nona was born on February 5th, 1956 to the late Fred R Parris and Irene W Parris. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Mrs. Hines was a lover of books, sunbathing, and gardening. For most of her wonderful life, you could find her outside with her kids and grandbabies under the old pecan tree watching birds or catching fireflies. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by her Son, Ricky Roland Scott Hines, her brothers, Leroy Parris, Fred R. Parris, Jr., Jackie R. Parris, Carl L. Parris and Buddy Lee Parris; and her sisters, Wyvonia Parris and Diann Parris Corder. Mrs. Hines is survived by her husband of 47 years Ricky R Hines and their son Michael W Hines. Her brother, Bobbie Joe Parris (Joanne) of Rock Hill; her sister, Janice Bell (Larry) of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Kevin Hines, Britany Hines, and Breanna Hines of daughter in law Autumn L Ferrell; Ricky and Damian Hines, of the late Ricky R Scott Hines; and her great grandchildren Macy Hines and Ayden Hines. Nona leaves behind many loving family members, friends, and her beloved dog Ziggy. Your memory lives on forever in our hearts.

Nona and I were sister-in-laws yrs ago. We were close at one time. We were married to brothers at one time. Nona you will be missed and you were one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known.
