Obituary For Travis Middlebrooks

Mr. Travis Leon Middlebrooks was born to the late Ms. Cora Lee Smith Middlebrooks and the late Mr. Robert Lee Middlebrooks on September 22, 1971 in Thomaston, Upson County, GA. At an early age, he joined the Saint Phillips A.M.E. Church. His early education was in the public schools of Upson County. He graduated from Upson High School. When Travis reached manhood, he found employment at the Thomaston Mills. He later begins working at the Rock Quarry. Travis had a long lasting companionship with Ms. Judy Collier for over 24 years. Travis lived a simple life that reflected his gentle spirit. He had a heart that was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed riding for hours. He loved eating out at different restaurants, talking with family and friends, especially older adults. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gregory Middlebrooks. On Saturday, April 25, 2020, the Lord looked down and saw his son in distress. He whispered his name, he answered and went home to be at rest. His departure ha saddened the heart of his family, but his memory will live on. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted friend, Ms. Judy Collier of Thomaston, GA; one brother, Mr. Marcus ( Latisha) Middlebrooks of Yatesville, GA; a devoted aunt, Ms. Lillian Middlebrooks of Yatesville, GA; other aunt and uncles include Mrs. Mary (Robert) Mallory, Mrs. Joanne Petty, Mr. Victoria Flemister, Mr. Tony Smith, and Mr. Ricky Smith, all of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Wynette Wilson of Griffin, GA, Mrs. Betty (Willie) Searcy, and Mr. David ( Laura Ann) Smith all of Butler, GA, Mr. Roosevelt Middlebrooks of Yatesville, GA, and Mr. Dwayne Smith of Lake City, FL; two devoted friends, Mr. Chester Reeves and Mr. William Web both of Thomaston, GA; several nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends

I am very saddened to see this loss. I met Travis as a youngster after a bad burn. He had the sweetest spirit and soul. He never complained as we worked with him .i have never forgotten him. He held a special memory for me because of his kindness and calmness. May peace and comfort come to you all that loved him .Prayers for all of you . Fay Cleveland
