Obituary For Ms. Theresa Evans

Ms. Theresa Evans was born to Mrs. Pearl Evans and the late Mr. Willie J. Evans on February 16, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from J.F. Kennedy High School and attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where she joined the AKA Sorority. She went to Kent State and received her Master’s Degree in Education. Theresa taught elementary and middle school grade for many years with the Atlanta Public Schools. When Theresa wasn’t busy directing the path of her students she was involved in family and church activities. At an early age, she was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She later joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Molena, GA after moving to the Atlanta area. She loved working with the children for family reunions and being present at her church to witness the word of God. She was a loving and giving person and truly a loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Ms. Phyllis Evans, and one brother, Howard J. Evans. On Friday, April 24, 2020 , the Lord called his daughter home from labor to reward. Her departure has saddened the hears of her family but her memory will live on. Theresa leaves behind her loving mother, Mrs. Pearl Evans of Atlanta, GA; a sister Mrs. Elaine Watts of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Mr. Alvin Evans of Cleveland, OH and Mr. Melvin (Juana) Evans of Stone Mountain, GA; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who perform incredible acts of kindness during her illness. You are all loved and appreciated, and may God bless all of you.

Funeral Service were held Saturday, May 2, 2020 1:00 P.M. Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Interment Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery
