"The world is a possibility if only you'll discover it." My favorite quote from Invisible Man, a book I read on advice of my dad, that he was given decades ago by Michael. That shows his impact and legacy. He influenced my school of choice with tales of New York City that elicited stars in my eyes all the while sitting on the recliner telling me to never stop reading, no matter what. My greatest condolences to Aunt Lois and Sharia, and thank you Michael for all you have influenced - Zach Hedgepeth

A friend that shared his intelligence (and he WAS VERY INTELLIGENT) with everyone he met. Gentle, smart, and kind. A friend that you will forever keep in your heart. Please know that we are here for you. Diane and Earl Cooper.

This man was a tender giant among men. He was my best friend, Sharia "Sha" Walker's Dad. In your life time you may have the pleasure of meeting one or two people who just naturally warm you to their presence and can hold a conversation with anyone, about anything. You are awed by their intellectual brilliance and could hang on their every word, because you knew they were gold. That was this man. With his priceless sense of humor he was just a joy to be around. Whenever I saw him, he would always share something that I had never heard before or gift me with something that he simply knew I would like. On one occasion he gave me an album of classical music, Horowitz plays Scriabin, because he knew I liked classical music. Another time he had a magazine for me. It was a Life Magazine. On the cover it eas captioned, The Perfect Dog. It was a poodle and golden retriever mix; an acknowledgment for my love of poodles and my Othello. You were truly a bright spot and will be sincerely missed. RIP "Pops." Condolences to Sharia, Mom and family. Love Always, Kimberly "EDUCATION MUST NOT SIMPLY TEACH WORK, IT MUST TEACH LIFE." To Aunt Lois and Sharia, My deepest condolences and prayers are with you. My fondest memories of Uncle Michael are the times (and there were many!) when he challenged me intellectually to be the best I could be. He helped to shape me into the successful person I am today. I will miss my Lefty partner... Love...Tami

Dear Family and Friends, Thank you for your support and kind words, during this time. My dad lived a long and good life. He touched and changed many others, with his kindness and wisdom...especially mine, my mother's and Roy's. We have been truly blessed. His spirit will live with us forever. Love, Sharia
