Obituary For Tyrikus Boyd

Mr. Tyrikus D. Boyd, 23, of Bowling Green, KY died on May 4, 2020 in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Boyd was a native of Bowling Green, KY and the son of Antwain Sweatt and Marie Boyd. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Boyd was a athlete on the 2013-14 Bowling Green High School state football championship team.

Survivors include his father, Antwain Sweatt (Shamora Franklin) of Bowling Green, KY; his mother, Marie Boyd-Conn (LaShon) of Louisville, KY; brothers, Corey Boyd of Louisville, KY, Dontarius Martin, Tyrecus Sweatt and Ontario Graham all of Bowling Green, KY; sisters Keioshia Carter of Bowling Green, KY and Lyric Reynolds of Bowling Green, KY; paternal grandmother, Sue Sweatt of Bowling Green, KY and maternal grandmother, Patricia Boards of Louisville, KY; nephews, Amarion Carter and Ma'Kai Raynolds and one niece, Kayamiah Simpson and his girlfriend, Alena Mehmedovic of Bowling Green, KY.

Private Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 with Rev. John C. Lee officiating. Private burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.

Percell & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I taught Ty in Anger Management and MRT Class just a few months back. I am sure those are classes he didn't want to attend at a time he wished he wasn't facing, however he was one of my very favorites. He was always prepared, always gave great effort, and encouraged everyone else in class. I am very saddened to hear of your families loss and I will remember you all in my prayers. He made a lasting impression on me and I am honored to have known him. I pray for strength for you all during this terrible tragedy. -Tara McMillin

I still can't wrap my head around all this. I don't wanna believe it. It shouldn't of happened like this, It seems like just yesterday we were all together hanging out. I'm so sorry this had to happen to you baby you didn't deserve none of this. You were such a sweet-hearted person who did nothing but wanna see great in everybody. At 23, they took you from us. 23... so young nobody will ever know the pain I feel for you baby boy, you didn't deserve to go out at all. You should've lived to see our kids, we talked about so much. From traveling the world to havin our own lil babies. You would've been an AMAZING father . Awe I'm so broken over this one Tyrikus, you taught me what love truly was at a young age.
