Obituary
Robert Louis Jackson was born on March 17, 1941 in Columbia Mississippi to the late Acy and Glycenia Jackson. He met and married Almedia Jackson; in this union six children were born. He was preceded in death by both his parents, daughter Robin Jackson and Theresa Kelly son James Kelly; brother A.C. Jackson, Rev. James Jackson, and Alton Jackson. Robert was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He received his education from Marion Central School in Columbia MS. He worked at Ingall Shipyard and later worked for himself hauling pulpwood. He also loved his bush-hauling job. He was a hard worker and did the job of many men by himself.
Robert Jackson leaves to cherish his memory: Special Friend, Brenda Henderson, Daughters, Roseta (Rodney) Washington, Tina (Robert Bass) Jackson, Alnita (Jeffrey) Trice, Evelyn (John) Anderson and Emma Jean Weathersby. Sons, Rickie (Angela) Jackson, Robert K (Tiffany) Jackson, Terrance (Candra) Jackson; Sisters Jessie Mae Peters, Martha (James) Johnson, Rutha Newsom, Minister Brunetta Howard, Carolyn (George) Payton; Brothers, Ellis (Maggie) Jackson, and J. T. Sony (DeAdra) Jackson. He has a total of thirty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will hold his memory dear in their hearts and who will cherish his legacy always.
