An amazing woman, mother, and wife does not scratch the surface of the beauty that was Bessie Chambers Stewart. Born April 8, 1931 to John and Adell Chambers, Bessie was the 8th of 10 brothers and sisters.

With her kind and caring nature, it was no mystery that Bessie would lead a career in the Healthcare field and caring for her patients was a responsibility she did not take lightly. Bessie would stay in the nursing field for 25 yrs before retiring.

In 1957 she met the love of her life, the late James Henry Stewart, while residing in Cleveland, Ohio. The couple eventually relocated back to Alabama; making Knoxville their forever home.

Bessie is survived by her sisters Essie R Cox and Edna Pearl Gross; sister-in-law, Edna Chambers; her three children Hervie Stewart, Deborah Stewart, and Elaine Perry and her husband Jerome Perry; six grandchildren, Hervie (JR) Stewart, Tiffani Stewart, Marvin Stewart, Keona Stewart, Brandon Stewart, and Angela Harris and her husband Johnny Harris; plus 9 great grandchildren and her many nephews and nieces. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
