Obituary For Sharon Osei

On Wednesday May 6, 2020, Sharon Osei, loving wife, stepmom, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 55, in East Point, GA.

Sharon was born on November 2, 1964 in Brownsville, TN to Venson and Suzette Perkins. She was the second of six children. Sharon worked most of her life in the food service industry and in Hartsfield-Jackson International airport where her smile and bubbly personality often left a lasting impression on her guests. Sharon was known to have a very loving, caring, and fun-filled spirit. She was known for her very supportive nature which was reflected in her life as she assisted in the care and well-being of over 50 children in Georgia Foster Care. Her family could always count on her to bring games to holiday gatherings to get the whole family involved. In her lifetime she fostered many long-lasting friendships because of her upbeat and embracing personality.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Venson Perkins Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Eric Osei; stepdaughter Erica Osei; mother, Suzette Perkins; one sister, Deborah Joseph: five brothers, Marvin Perkins (Charm) of Atlanta, GA; James Turner, Venson Bernard Perkins, Alfred Perkins (Janice), and Corey Perkins (Brandi) of Brownsville, TN; four aunts, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends

We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name. In life we loved your dearly, In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.

I met Sharon in 1992 at Red Lobster where she and I became best of friends. We've seen good times and bad times together, we served as sounding boards for each other. She was my evening ride home from work, we would talk about something or about nothing we just enjoyed our conversations. We've had many good times together like traveling to Nassau, Bahamas and St. Lucia, attending Charlie Wilson (Uncle Charlie), Usher, Frankie Beverly concerts just to name a few of the things we have done. I know that people come into your life for a reason, season and a lifetime and Sharon was my lifetime friend. I am happy that I got to create great memories with you, you will continue to live on in my heart. I love you "My Friend'. May you Rest In Peace. Your friend Sherry-Ann!
