Obituary For Timothy Sims

Timothy Sims,59, passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2020 after a battle with an aggressive brain cancer.

Tim was born August 29, 1960 in Gadsden, AL to Era Lee Brewster and the late Temble Lowe. He attended Emma Sansom High School and Alliance Trucking School in Atlanta, GA. He soon became a nationwide carrier. He enjoyed his work until he became ill and went into early retirement. Tim had a passion for music, movies, comedy, as well as being an electronics connoisseur, and at some point making his own musical videos. He was jovial and he always made people laugh and never stopped planning his adventures.

Tim married his first wife, Gloria Sims-Bowie, in 1983 and to this union he is survived by his son, Carlos; daughter, Chasity; as well as his youngest son, William of Kansas City, Missouri. Tim is also survived by his sister Beverly White (Richard) and brother Jay Brewster (Anna-Lisa) as well and his childhood friend Chris Davenport. He had nieces and a host of family from across the country; from Detroit, California, Georgia and Alabama including Uncles Dexter, Charles, Oscar, Larry, James and Aunts Ethel and Sandra.

Special thanks to The Angels at Shepard’s Cove Hospice for their love, selflessness, support and compassion (Albertville, AL).

Tim took on and beat lung cancer in 2017 against all odds, and now he will take his next adventure into paradise with the same spirit. We know there will never be a dull moment in this journey you knew your spirit was destined for. We love you, but we understand that God loves you best.
