My condolences to the Joyner Family. Teddy was my cousin, and he always let that be known. I left Enfield, NC in 1992, and I would travel back mostly every year throughout the years to this day, and I would always see Teddy. I never had to go see him and he never had to come see me--we always saw eachother at some point during my visit. I was there for Christmas 2019 for the first time in more than 25 years. Who did I see? Teddy. And in his famous words: "Whats up cuz? Thats my cousin right there" to whoever was around. Even to people who already knew, thats what he would say. He would always ask how long I'd be home for and let me know what he was doing that evening, and where he would be and he'd ask me to come join him if I could. That meant something to me. Moving forward, and returning to North Carolina, that piece of Enfield will be missed. Although I will not be there tomorrow, my heart will be. Rest in peace my cousin, I will never forget you. From my family to the Joyner Family, please accept our heartfelt condolences. Our families have known each other for as long as can remember. "Red" and I shared many memories and long private talks .I don't know how the family feel about this tragic death b/c we all grieves differently, but the scriptures provides the same encouragement and comfort to all who grieves. ( 2 cor 4:17,18 ; Rev 21:3,4) One thing that God cannot tell is a "lie". Warmly , Chris Williams and Family .

With heartfelt sorrow I send my condolences to the Joyner family. Teddy was family to us and I will always remember him and Scotty as best friends from wayyyyy back in the day. They were inseparable. (Just as Shelia and Tarsha were growing up). As their friendships grew, so did our family's love and admiration for each others family. I remember Teddy's warm and friendly smile he always greeted me with whenever we saw each other. He was such a sweet and loving person with a gentle heart. We love you guys and always will. Warmly, Niecy Davis and Family
