Obituary For Nathaniel Roosevelt Jordan

Mr. Nathaniel Roosevelt Jordan was born to the late Mrs. Elnora Coggins Jordan and the late Mr. Roosevelt Jordan on March 21, 1945, in The Rock, GA. He was educated in the public schools of Upson County and later received his GED. After reaching adulthood, he married Ms. Josephine Copeland Jordan on October 5, 1961. To this union two children were born. He enlisted in the United States Army on March 26, 1968 and served to March 17, 1969. He was stationed in Flori Barracks Aschaffenburg, Germany. Among the many honors, he received one was the NDSM Sharpshooter badge and National defense service medal. He was honorable discharged. Of his many career choices as a civilian, his most outstanding performance was the job of security office for RAN Security, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, after receiving his certification in 2001 through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. He was a member of the Speaking Truth in Love Ministry, Inc. in Griffin, GA, and was formerly engaged to his Fiancée Minister Justina Berry. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Stephen Jordan. On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, the Lord called him home from labor to reward. He answered the call and went home to rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Mr. Ronnie (Sherrel) Jordan of the Salem Community and Mrs. Debra Jordan(Willie H.) Walton of Griffin, GA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; six siblings, Mr. Forest Jordan of FL, Mr. Jerry Jordan, and Ms. Jewel Jordan both of Cleveland, OH, Ms. Virginia Jordan Hooper of Houston, TX, Ms. Margaret Moore, and Mr. Marvin Jordan both of Forsyth, GA; one step-brother and step-sister, Mr. Andrew Brown of Griffin, GA and Mrs. Elizabeth Powell of Barnesville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and other relatives and friends all who will miss his love and presence dearly. Interment Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA
