Obituary For Shondell Royster

SHONDELL M. ROYSTER, the son of the late Denise E. Royster and Barry Gibson, was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 21, 1975. He received his formal education in the Harrisburg School District and attended the Harrisburg Middle School, Harrisburg High School William Penn Campus and John Harris Campus. During his working career, he was employed by the Department of Defense (DOD) in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania as a Distribution Process Worker and Materials Handler for several years. Shondell was also co-owner of two previous local business, ICON a clothing store and HOT KEYS COMPUTER REPAIR SHOP. Shondell was the San Francisco 49ers number 1 fan. In his leisure, he enjoyed producing and making digitally mastered music CD’s, traveling with his family and friends, working on his personal vehicles, cooking and eating “good soul food” and spending quality time with his children and family. He was an avid movie watcher and loved working with his hands by taking things apart to fix them or to just simply learn how things worked and operated. On Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his home in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Shondell M. Royster, at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 11 days, transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life. He leaves to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories of him; his children, Shondell Royster, Jr., Giani McKenzie, Tashon Royster, Jayden Royster and Makye Royster; his grandson, Nekoda McKinley; his father, Barry Gibson; his brothers, Juan Royster, William Royster, Lamar Royal, Jhordan Royal, LaMar Gibson and Mykal Eaton; his sisters, Jennifer Bellamy and Asharia Urrutia, all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shondell's life was celebrated with a funeral service on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Major H. Winfield Home followed by burial in Rolling Green Cemetery.
