Mr. Willie Marion Taylor

Augusta, GA—Mr. Willie Marion Taylor (Bubba) entered into rest on May 5, 2020. He entered this life under the divine guidance of his parents, James F. and Margie Taylor June 17, 1951 in Augusta, GA. He worked most of his life as a fireman of which he retired from the Fort Gordon Georgia Fire Department.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Margie Taylor, a son, Marcus D. Taylor (Cojack) and brothers, Donald P. Taylor (Tookie) and Andre Taylor (Crew Chef) and a sister, Arnita Taylor Powell.

Willie is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Taylor; two sons, Antonio R. Taylor (Pook) and Milton Taylor (Courtney) (B); stepson, Chavous Kemmerlin, Jr.; two daughters, LaToy Taylor and Ashley Taylor. He also leaves behind lots of grandchildren Artencia Taylor, Antonio (Fat-Boy) R. Taylor, Jr., Marcus D. Taylor Jr. (Mark), the twins, Marquez and Marquisha "Mattie-Bell" Taylor, Ty-Tianna (Love) Johnson, Keiona Harrison, MarQuasia Burch, Lil-Michael Taylor (Noochie), MyKiyah Taylor (Sweetie), MyKel "Suge" Taylor, Malik "Leek" Taylor; three brothers, Chauncey Taylor, Maurice Taylor, Samuel Taylor of Tennessee; four sisters, Eloise Taylor Hawes (Leonard) of Alabama, Patricia Taylor Pace (Tricia), Maxine Taylor (Mack), and Chantay Taylor, Savannah, Ga; four brother-in-laws, Irving Thompkins and Christopher Moseley of Charlotte, NC.; Virley C. Davis and Lucious Davis. Seven sister-in-laws, Tisha Mosley, Michele Goolsby and Nyree Linyear of Charlotte, NC.; Esther Dandridge Taylor, Mabel Davis Johnson, Shirley Davis, and Miriam Davis Dunn Marson to include several loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Among his close and special friends were: Donald Tutt, Melvin Cobb, Willie Kemmerlin, J.R. Riles, Patrick Walton (Pat), Edward Hughes, Reynard Graham, the late Russell Moody, Charlene and James Dixon, and Elizabeth "Boo" Harrison.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens, 3666 Deansbridge Road.

Social distancing will be observed.

Public visitation will held Friday, May 15, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
