Obituary For Robert L. Searcy

Mr. Robert L Searcy, 81, of Eden, NC died Thursday, May 14, 2020. A PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD.

Robert., went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Annie Penn Hospital, Reidsville, NC. “PaPa” as he was affectionately known, was born April 15, 1939 in Stokes County to the late Gilmer and Sophie Searcy. Robert attended school at Charles Drew in Madison, NC. He was employed at Doggett Construction for many years until his health declined. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Searcy, daughter, Wynita Tucker, sons, Robert Searcy, Jr., and Keith Searcy, brother, Paul Searcy, sisters, Essie S. Moore, Savannah King and grandson, Charles Tucker. He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters; Annette Lockman (James) of Raleigh, NC, Faye Searcy of Stokesdale, NC, Gearldine Searcy of Eden, NC, two sons; Jeffery Searcy and Kenneth Searcy both of Stoneville, NC, daughter-in-law; Alicia Hairston of Madison, NC, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three brothers; Buster Searcy (Birdie-deceased), James Searcy (Lillie-deceased) both of Madison, NC, Floyd Searcy of Eden, NC, sister; Effie Kellam of Eden, NC, a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
