What did Thine only Son endure, Before I drew my breath? What pain, what labor, to secure My soul from endless death!

It is with great sadness that we announce the transition of:

Deacon Joe Nathan Richardson (72) of Valdosta, Georgia born on October 21, 1947 – reared in the Howell, Georgia Community.

Deacon Richardson was a man of faith, love and generosity. He heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto me and rest; lay down, thou weary one, lay down thy head upon my breast. He was escorted to Heaven on the wings of angels on Friday, May 15, 2020.

Deacon Joe Richardson, found in Jesus a resting place, and even though he will be deeply missed, by his lovely family and his Greater Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Family.

Deacon Joe Richardson's body will lie in repose in the sanctuary of Greater Pleasant Temple M.B.C. (309 Cherry St.) from 9:00 AM till service time, note for WALK THROUGH ONLY.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Facial coverings and gloves are asked to be worn when entering the sanctuary, as enforced by CDC social distancing practices.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM on the front lawn of Greater Pleasant Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 309 Cherry Street - Valdosta, Georgia. Reverend Bernard L. Robinson Sr., is pastor and will officiate.

For this celebratory events, Harrington Funeral Home Inc., is requesting that each attendee is advised to please ensure you wear a facial covering and note CDC social distancing practice. This will be enforced.
