Obituary For Lou Ada Thompson

Ms. Lou Ada Thompson, 83 formerly of Yazoo Street, Louisville GA departed this life Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home.

Lou Ada was born to the late Ella Mae Wells and Willie Gibbons but was reared in the loving home of Charlie and Lula Thompson.

At the tender age of 6 she joined the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church family. Lou Ada was a cook at Jefferson County Hospital for 19 years.

To know Lou Ada was to love her, and she was deeply and unconditionally loved by her children; Roger Thompson, Atlanta, GA; Harold (Jeanette) Thompson and Ralph Thompson; Louisville, GA; and Ella Mae Thompson, Atlanta, GA; Frank (Jenifry) Brown. Two of her children, Elton Thompson and Mattie Florence Thompson, preceded her in death. Her sisters Sally Gibbons, Brooklyn, New York; Sandra Milling and Eunice Freeman, Charleston, SC; Loretta Williams, Cocoa Beach, FL; and her brothers Charlie (Shirley) Gibbons, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Tracy Williams, Cocoa, FL. She also leaves a very special and dear cousin/sister, Ruby Grant, Augusta, GA; her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
