We lost our dearly departed Demetrius to the COVID-19 virus after a month-long battle in the ICU of Hackettstown Medical Center due to acute respiratory failure. Demetrius was outgoing, diligent, protective, altruistic, charismatic, and more than knowledgeable about a vast majority of topics. If you were blessed enough to know him, you know he was a kindred spirit that showed love with no boundaries.
Demetrius was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnny Brunson and Lucille Felder Tindal; paternal grandparents, Tom Foy and Doris Foy; two brothers: Donald Foy, Jr. and Sulton Johnson; and special cousins: Kimberly Canty and Anisha Phillips.
His love lives on through his children, Demetrius Lasean McKinney Jr., and Nadirah Fantasia Shakirah Tajii Foy, both of Newark, NJ; grandson, Kenai Jesiah Demetri Foy-Stephens; his parents, Sherey “Shirley” Foy of Sumter, SC and Donald Ray Foy, Sr of Brooklyn, NY; a special friend, Tamela McKinney of Newark, NJ; five devoted sisters: Latarasha Foy Richardson, Rashon Richardson, Fantasia Foy, Asis Foy and Anasia Foy all of Sumter, SC; two brothers: Derek John Foy (Jackie Jackson) and Donald Foy both of Newark, NJ; nieces: Lishay Bullock Foy, Leah Foy, Thalia Wells, Kassidy Jennings, Skyler Foy, Asiyah Foy and Trinity Foy; nephews: Donald Ray Foy III, Khasheif Foy, Dontai Foy, Maleeke Foy, Ty’Shann Foy, Demandrs Wells, Jamarri Bell, KK, Dejohn Foy, Alen Johnson, Justin Johnson and Nile Johnson; god-sisters: Angela Felder, Brenda Felder and Darlene Delarosa; god-brothers: Rondell McNeil, Curtis Way, Raymond Rueben, Raymond Rawls, Lesean Gause and Tarig McNeil; special friends: Wayne Jackson and Spurgen Knox; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
