Samantha Danielle Pierce, 35, departed this life on Monday, May 11, 2020.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Glennview Memorial Park.

From preschool to adulthood I loved you. You were one of my best friends. Even though life got in the way and we hadn't seen each other in a while, everytime we ran into each other it was like old times. I remember coming to your house, you showing me how to do "box braids" in my hair, your back surgery and how depressed you were, your smile, your laugh, your cheeks, our middle school dance routine. Sammie it's so hard to believe you are gone. Ms. Cynthia, I am so sorry. My heart breaks when I think of you, and Sam, and her kids. I promise I think of Sam everytime I braid my daughters hair and everytime I take those braids out. My God the tears I feel wont ever stop. My condolences Ms Cynthia and family. I haven't seen Sam since high school. I remember meeting you and kicking it at your house since we stayed in the same neighborhood and had our days walking to hillside. Samantha always wore a beautiful smile. I remember when my grandmother passed, though Samantha had just met our family, she jumped right in to serve our family and help us get through it! Sam had the spirit of a gatekeeper! You've given that same spirit to your children. We love you and our hearts are so sad for her loss. We are in continued prayer during this time.
