Gwen was such a beautiful, caring, and wonderful person to know. She was available to everyone in any way possible whenever needed- as a daughter, wife, parent, family member, teacher, friend, pianist, singer, volunteer, listener and confidant-I could go on and on. I will miss our frequent conversations talking about our teaching and retirement experiences and shared family concerns and successes. With deepest sadness and God's blessings to you always, Friend and co-worker Dorothy Stiles Katoe and Family Gwen also taught several of my grandchildren.

To Alvenia, Revon, & Revelle, the picture of your mother and our dear sister-in-law captures her personality perfectly: her sense of fashion and flair, her unique sense of self, her beaming smile--the joy of life. We will miss her caring personality as well as our joyous conversations. Take comfort in the memories of your mother, who remained the teacher, the lover of words, who always knew the right ones to say in her well-crafted messages for all occasions! She will be sorely missed! With Love, Your Uncle Willie & Aunt Johnanna
