Obituary For Richard Lamont Christian

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Lamont Christian, 40, will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Dr. Angelene Sexton will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in the Sycamore Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020. Due to COVID-19 regulations, the funeral service will be at 50% capacity and Mr. Christian's family is first priority.

Richard Lamont Christian began his earthly life on Saturday, June 30, 1979, Debra Ann Chatman Spears and the late Richard Lee Sheppard in Talladega, Alabama. Mr. Christian was a member of the 1997 graduate of Marietta High School. He continued his education at Talladega College. He was previously employed at a poultry plant in Gainesville, Georgia. Currently he was employed with Bobby Chatman Landscaping.

On the evening of Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Richard traded time for eternity in Dallas, Georgia. He was preceded in eternal life by his father, Richard Lee Sheppard; and grandparents, Mary Hannah Chatman, James Chatman, Sarah Sheppard and Fred Sheppard.

Loving memories will be held in the heart of his mother, Debra A. Spears of Marietta, Georgia; stepfather, Johnny Millender of Kennesaw, Georgia; three daughters, Mon'Keesia L. Pennamon of Kennesaw, Georgia, Montiana Wilson and Zyrie I. Braxton of Talladega, Alabama; two sons, Richard L. Christian, Jr. and BriSon Z. Christian of Talladega, Alabama; one sister, Tamika Chatman of Talladega, Alabama; six brothers, Anthony Chatman, Karey Chatman and Eric Christian of Talladega, Alabama, Richard L. Shepherd of Montgomery, Alabama, Kelvin Chatman, Jr. and Flemmings Chatman of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
