Obituary

MR. JAMES ELLIS WHITTLE, son of the late James A. and the late Mary Hendrick Whittle was born January 2, 1948 in Lunenburg County, VA and departed this life May 15, 2020 in VCU-Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA.

At an early age he was baptized at Free Union RZUA Church. He attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. He later attended Gethsemane Baptist Church.

James worked as a farmer for many years until he became disabled.

James leaves to mourn four siblings- Otis Rainey, Stoney Creek, VA; Shirley (Thomas) Hicks, Lawrenceville, VA, and George Rainey, South Hill, VA; brother-in-law, Joe Clary, South Hill, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

My prayers go out to the family. May God keep you strong with his protection. I have some pictures of him, sharp as a tack. I also have a video of him dancing in front of Quick stop. He was having fun and could dance to. Nice gun person. Have giving him a ride a few times. The video will make you smile and laugh. great memories. would love to share it with his family.
