Obituary For Mae Lizzie Daniels

The late Mrs. Mae Lizzie Daniels of 325 Hodge King Drive, Ashburn, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. A private service for the family will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. The Reverend Christopher Douglas will be bringing Words of Comfort.

Mrs. Mae Lizzie Daniels, affectionately known as "Granny" or "Ms. Less" was born on November 7, 1930 in Rochelle Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Lula Mae Daniels.

Mae Daniels attended Wideman Chapel Church of God Apostolic, where she served faithfully as one of the Mothers of the Church. She was there every time the church doors were open. Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of everyone's children, fishing, gardening, cooking, and making sure everyone else was good. Overall, Mae was a loving, caring, and praying woman of faith.

Mae Lizzie Daniels transitioned peacefully on May 23, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents and a few of her siblings: Corine Phillips, Charlie Daniels, Jr., Fannie Lou Davis, Bertha Kendrick, and Bishop George Daniels.

Her life and her love will be cherished by four sons, Lewis Gates of Pompano Beach, Florida, Arthur (Virginia) Gates, Johnny (Linda) Gates, Artis (Lee Annie) Trawick, all of Ashburn, Georgia; twelve grandchildren that includes two that she raised as her own, Tatiana Gates Jordan and Katrice Gates; a host of great grandchildren; her sister, Bessie (Gus) Daniels of Pompano Beach, Florida; a sister-in-love, Inez Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Mrs. Jill Andrews of Ashburn, Georgia.
